Based on the true story of the first African American NASCAR champion Wendell Scott, Born Driven is an uplifting tale celebrating the power of persistence and big dreams. Like many other boys, Wendell Scott has a big dream: to become a race car driver. He loves to race anything and everything, from fish in a lake to birds in the sky! He has a talent for fixing broken things and creating complex machines. Although he faces many difficulties as an African-American boy in the South, Wendell has the willpower to overcome these obstacles. With the support from his friends and family Wendell Scott takes on the challenge of competing in his town’s big soapbox derby.
