Steve Garrett has fled a day parole in Canada, and is in Butte, Montana, working in a chop shop, when he finds out his brother Beu has leukemia and his only chance of survival may be in Steve's return.

When the chance comes, Layne realizes he must face up to his greatest fear. With the help of his friend Jana, and his bratty younger sister, Layne learns to reach deep inside and trust himself.
